It's been a long time since I made a journal and thought I'd just do a little one here.

Firstly, how is everybody doing? How's life, art and anything else in between?

Things are pretty good and feeling happy and healthy. Guess I can't ask for too much more. I've been updating some work, here and there. Nothing really too major.

I'm just wondering if people are still using DA the same as they used to. I know times change and people move from site to site, but I like DA and all it's familiarity. I know many artists have moved to Tumblr or Instagram and found a broader audience. Perhaps my work isn't "there" yet or perhaps I'm just late on the bandwagon, but those networks haven't been great for me (exposure wise). One thing I don't like about Tumblr is the lack of community there. I find it difficult to engage with others and the commenting part is very tricky at times.

Recently it seems people are moving over to Artstation. Or maybe not-so recently, I can't keep up anymore. Have any of you tried this and how's your experience been so far?

Also, last thing, is anybody interested in Commissions? Been thinking about offering up some good deals - if there's interest...

Hey Gang,

I hope everybody is doing well and creating lots and lots.

Anyways, I just wanted to inform anybody that might be interested, that I've created a new Instagram page at: instagram.com/Kirk_Parrish_Art…. I seem to update that more frequently than this here DA page. I just didn't like spamming all my friends with daily artwork. I felt weird about it and pretty self-conscious. So this new page is geared specifically to sharing my work with those that might wanna see it.

A few years ago, and by that I mean 2010, I ventured down to Burbank, California for the annual CTN-Expo. Now if you don't know what this is and you're interested in getting into the Animation Industry, then I highly recommend you look into it. But, I brought along my sketchbook with intentions of meeting many artists whom I look up to.
